Mixing patterns!

So many people find mixing patterns to be such a hard thing to do but if you follow these simple rules on how to mix patterns you are sure to do it right every time.

  1. COLOR IS KEY

I can not even begin to tell you how big of a role color plays in your outfit (that’s for another day, hehe). First off with mixing patterns you should be sure that your color palate is very very similar. First timers, I would stick to black and white or another neutral color for that matter. If you chose to many chaotic colors your outfit will be to busy to follow. Remember simplicity is better than busy.

2. PATTERN CHOICES

You want to be sure the patterns you chose to mix complement each other. Such as black and white stripes and black and white polka-a-dots. You don’t want to be doing something outlandish such as a crazy tribal with floral. Also you can mix a floral with a very geometric pattern.

3. PATTERN PIECES

Say you chose to mix your patterns and just aren’t quite sure what patterned pieces should you wear. I HAVE YOUR ANSWER!!! You can always wear a patterned shoe with a cardigan or sweater ( I did this today). As well as mixing patterned top with a patterned purse or clutch or scarf.

4. CONFIDENCE, CONFIDENCE, CONFIDENCE

In order to have a succesful outfit you MUST have confidence. With out it your outfit would be shabby just because you are capable of telling when people aren’t confident! Remember no matter who you are, you are beautiful and deserve to act like it.
